Are all submitted events visible?
Yes. All Afro-cultural events that align with Kanou’s mission and have been submitted by an event organizer can be found via the overview, search, calendar, and categories.
Does it cost anything to submit an event?
No. Submitting an event to Kanou is free.
Does Kanou offer free tickets or community promotions?
Community promotions such as free tickets or giveaways may arise from individual partnerships.
This is not a requirement and is always coordinated on a case-by-case basis with respect.
How can I submit my event?

What does closer collaboration with Kanou mean?
Kanou works more closely with selected organizers when events and values align well—for example, for events taking place in Afro-cultural venues or collaborating with Black-owned businesses.
This collaboration is voluntary and arises through personal communication.
What happens after I submit my event?
After submission, we’ll briefly review your event and contact you if we have any questions.
Once everything is in order, your event will be published on Kanou.
Who can submit an event to Kanou?
Any organizer hosting an Afro-cultural event in Switzerland—whether it’s a club night, workshop, talk, community event, or one-off format.
Why do some events appear more prominently than others?
Some events also appear in the feed or via notifications when there is an active partnership with Kanou.
This additional visibility arises within the framework of a community partnership.
